On the subject of intimidation

When I started this blog recently, I was warned about being intimidated by a couple of people, which I suppose is a sad indictment of our present 'Government'. However I would like to share a couple of statements with you all so I can perhaps have some feedback on how other people may interpret things another way.

I will not mention who was the messenger, here is the first one, 3 months ago:

And I quote 'you must agree with everything they (social services) say, otherwise you will not get your son back'.

Did I agree? - No, because they have broken the law.

Second time, around a month ago (with a witness):

And I quote 'you must agree with everything they say, otherwise you won't get your son back'

I said 'well I won't agree because they have broken the law and they are in the wrong'.

Reply to my statement was, and again I quote 'well you won't get your son back then'.

Today came a little more flowery version of the same type of thing just disguised in longer sentences with a few added distracting words. No doubt because it was done in writing.

Now this to me outlines the fact in bold that the best interests of my son do not come into play at all. This is a game of chess, they must win at all costs. The cost is my son.

I can totally understand your position. In my experiance SS will resort to bullying tactics when you question their approch. Our stories are very similar I was trying to keep my child on the right path as your were, I mistakenly contacted ss for support biggest mistake of my life! They did the same to my child gave her too much freedom which she just couldn't handle. I could clearly see the direction she was going in and kept teling them that I am the expert on my child etc, when I wouldn't go along with them their response was to take me to child protection conference! Not just my child but another young child who was in no way involved. They lost this of course because they had no leg to stand on. I am a good parent like you do not let them bully you. Unfortunately for my child my worst nightmares came true and she went totally off the rails and ended up in la moye and her life is in turmoil. She tells me now that she wished she had listen to me and not "worked" her social worker! It is very very sad and breaks my heart to see how low her life has become. They are not there for her now I am! Don't let them bully you!!
Best wishes x

Ditto experience for me except mine is a daughter. I only went along with it to get her back, but I felt I was being torn between my child and standing on the side of the truth. I went with their bullshit to get her home. Well done One Day for pursuing the truth.

Quote from Streetspirit- "I mistakenly contacted ss for support biggest mistake of my life!"

Funny that's just what my friend says. She only rang them for some advice and the result was that all 3 of her children were taken away for good.

If I was sitting here reading this myself, on say the 2nd April, I will fully admit that I would have thought - well there must be more to it than that, SS would not take the children for nothing. I have heard in the past of people I knew having their children taken away - thinking they must not be looking after them properly. I also know of one girl coerced into handing a baby up for adoption. The baby went to a childless couple who were fostering her for a while - perhaps a case of trading babies.

Streetspirit - I have heard of a number of people recently sharing the same experiance whereby they have contacted the social services for help, where they got anything but help. I know of people advising others 'under no circumstances contact the social services'. I am so sorry that your daughter is at La Moye, but as you say at least you are able to be there for her now.

For a long time now I had been thinking is it just me, now I know it's not. I truly believe from all the accounts I have heard that the SS operate in a draconian manner. However in an attempt to keep this blog fair, does anyone know of anyone they have helped. I know of no-one.

I understand totally - no-one should be put in this position. It is blackmail to put it simply.

I would like to hear from anyone who has had similar experiances, jot them down, put a comment, maybe sharing your experiance will help others.

I just wanted to say that ss need investigating, they are not in the real world.
